Designed especially for trimming and cutting superdense 5/64" gauge foam or sponge-backed carpets. Double 30° angle blades cut either side of the row close and clean to help produce better seams. The long, slender front guide is beveled at the bottom, making it easy to stay in a row. Made from nickel-plated steel.
Trims close to the carpet pile on the right (Figure 1). On the left side, use the opposite blade (Figure 2). Close cuts on
both seam edges produce better seams.

This cutter has a base for cutting over pad or other carpet, and an adjustable throat that locks down on the row. Its 30˚ blade angle exposes more blade surface for smoother cutting. Now features three thumb screws that hold rigidly, and self-cleaning blade holders.

This cutter excels on zigzag ("hydra-shift") carpets includ- ing commercial loop pile and Berbers! The blade runs di- rectly behind the center row guide. This keeps the blade away from the offset yarns, preventing yarns from being sheared, which causes unsightly seams. The wide base keeps the blade perpendicular to the yarns, further reduc- ing nap shear. The row guide can be retracted fully into the base for top cutting. The tool can also be used as a trimmer to precisely trim carpet up to Z-bar or vinyl molding.
