This fast-acting hinge lever provides enough force to push wider bowed boards together to close joint gaps. It can also be used to push butt joints together from an end plank. Hammer the sharp pins into a wooden subfloor, and place the opposite groove-shaped end against the tongue of the board to be pushed. Using foot pressure, press down on the pedal to push the board and hold it in place for nailing. Both hands are free to work with the nailer. The tool folds conveniently to store in the back pocket.
